Every time I think Asia has it bad with the SJW nonsense, I see Europe.

As beauty contests have a wide popular audience, it’s been realized in many countries they must be part of the popular mind shaping instruments.
There’s always positive discrimination for the “of color” “daughters of refugees/immigrants” lesbians, … I have noticed this for at least the last 5 years, it’s everywhere.
And the people who vote from their homes by phone calls, oh, the people… home-signal too!
They want to do their part (even if no-one sees them. When you say it’s ALL about “status” you simplify quite a bit).

A thought: could stunts like this make high-status women more right-wing? They are, after all, sexually competitive creatures, and if progressivism entails that mediocre women are elevated above them, it would be in their sexual interests to oppose progressivism.
They are becoming asexual, particularly the more intelligent/learned/high status.
Social praise trumps sex in their list of priorities.

My comment didn’t mean to say you had to “put it better”. What I meant was: this is no exception or news.
They have been doing this for something like 10 years, in all the West.
The list of Beauty Qualities goes like this: black > other non-White > non-heterosexual.
Even the Nobel prize for literature has become a political tool, or at least a mirror of political power, although the list of Writing Qualities isn’t = the above, there’s an easily detectable list too, and it has nothing to do with art or literature, much with power.
Well unless actual high-status men starting marrying ugly Africans I don’t think they’d feel really threatened. And that of course is not going to happen.
It was apparently a publicity stunt by a small-time event.
A 3-for-1 kind of deal it seems.
Beauty is subjective.
